OUR PEDORTHICS LAB

The anatomy and physiology of the foot is so complex there is a branch of medicine strictly dedicated to treating the feet – Podiatry! There are a many foot disorders a human can experience. Please see our patient education page to learn about some of them.

Our Lab carries or makes unique footwear, does shoe modifications, and fabricates custom-made foot orthotics. With a proper exam, a Physician’s diagnoses (this may or may not be necessary), and careful measuring and analysis of anthropometric data we can improve the biomechanical functioning of your feet – improving your kinetic chain and quality of life!

The benefits of orthotics are numerous: avoidance of foot surgery, reduction of pain, reduction of paresthesia or numbness, increased ability to walk further distances, increased ability to stand for longer periods of time. For competitive athletes or people of fitness, orthotics are proven to increase strength, speed, and jumping ability.
